Dr Gan Eng Cern ENT & Sinus Specialist
Dr Gan is a fellowship trained ENT Specialist. Prior to starting his own ENT clinic at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, he was an ENT Consultant with Pacific Healthcare Specialist Centre at Paragon Medical. Dr Gan is well-versed in the management of a wide range of ENT and Head & Neck conditions and has a passion for the treatment of conditions of the nose & sinuses as well as snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). He completed his ENT Specialty training in Singapore and his Subspecialty training in Nose & Sinuses (Rhinology & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery) at the world-renowned St Paul’s Sinus Centre, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Before he left for private practice, Dr Gan was the Chief Rhinologist at Changi General Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr Gan has received numerous awards, a testament to his dedication and passion in educating medical students and ENT trainees as well as in patient care, research and medical work. These include:

Dr Gan was a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He has also been an invited speaker and instructor to numerous local, regional and international conferences. He was the past Course Convenor and the Rhinology Director for the Foundation Surgical Skills Course in Otolaryngology (an annual cadaveric surgical dissection course for ENT surgeons). Dr Gan was the past Honorary Treasurer for the Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Singapore (SOHNSS).
Dr Gan practices evidence based medicine and has more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed top ENT journals and textbook chapters. His work in patient positioning during sinus surgery to minimize bleeding and improve safety won him the prestigious 19th Yahya Cohen Memorial Lectureship. He contributed a book chapter on “Fungal Rhinosinusitis” in the 8th Edition of Scott Brown’s Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery (one of the definitive reference British textbook for ENT and Head & Neck Surgeons). He is also a journal reviewer for many well-established local and international medical and ENT journals.
