About Dr Ng Zhi Xu

Dr Ng Zhi Xu is a Consultant Neurosurgeon. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, at National University of Singapore (NUS) back in 2007. Following this, he completed his basic medical training in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), and also served 2 years in the Singapore armed forces as a Medical Officer. He commenced his neurosurgical training in January 2011. The training was based mainly in National University Hospital (NUH) and KTPH where he developed his interests in neurotrauma, neuro-oncology and spine surgery.

SUB-SPECIALTY IN NEUROTRAUMA, NEURO-ONCOLOGY, AND SPINE SURGERY:

Dr Ng completed a one-year clinical training fellowship in neurosurgery in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, United Kingdom. He obtained his postgraduate qualifications for Neurosurgery in October 2016 and completed his residency in June 2017.

By August 2017, he was a fully registered specialist in Neurosurgery, with sub-specialty interests in neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, and spine surgery. Upon completion of training, Dr Ng worked in KTPH providing a full range of neurosurgical services.
