HC Orthopaedic Surgery Pte Ltd is situated at Mount Elizabeth (Orchard) #15-14, it provides one stop orthopaedic services which aims to combine the best evidence based orthopaedic care with the latest technology.

Dr Henry Chan is our medical director and Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. His specialist qualification is certified by the Ministry of Health of Singapore since 2013. He obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2004 and became a member of the Royal College of Edinburgh and obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) in 2009. He completed his advanced surgical training and became a certified fellow in Orthopaedic Surgery in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013.

Dr Henry Chan was subsequently awarded the prestigious scholarship by the Human Manpower Development Program (HMDP) from the Ministry of Healthy Singapore and completed his Revision Hip and Knee arthroplasty fellowship at the Helios Endo-Klinik in Hamburg, Germany in 2014. It is the largest hip and knee reconstruction centre in Europe which perform more than 5000 joint replacement annually and specialized in complex revision hip and knee surgeries.

The revision joint replacement fellowship in Helios Endo-Klinik, Hamburg, Germany well equipped him to treat the various complications of joint replacements such as peri-prosthetic joint infection, peri-prosthetic fracture, persistent pain, recurrent dislocation, stiffness or loosening.

Since then, Dr Henry Chan has been spearheading the Joint Replacement Unit in Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and had performed more than 1000 joint replacements till date. He is well respected in the region and had been invited as an instructor for basic and advanced joint replacement courses in various countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and India.

He handles treatment of all fractures, sports injuries such as ligament reconstruction, cartilage repair and meniscus repair, neck pain and back pain treatment including micro-discetomy and radiofrequency ablations. He performs platelet rich plasma injection therapy as treatment for acute muscle and ligament injuries as well.

His special interest is computer-assisted joint replacement surgeries (Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement, Unicompartmental Knee Replacement) such as pinless computer navigation, patient-specific instrumentation (PSI) and robotic surgery (Makoplasty).
